The Change it Now! Social Justice Learning Community at Chabot College is an interdisciplinary, developmental – transfer pathway with a social justice lens. To deepen our community involvement and understanding of social justice issues, faculty and students are launching a 1-day professional development conference: ACT-CIN! (Action, Community, Transformation, and Change it Now!) Our aim with ACT-CIN! is to invite community leaders, activists, educators, and artists to facilitate workshops and performances on social justice issues impacting our community. Our end goal is to increase our understanding of social justice issues and to increase our skills to build community and take action. We invite you to join us in our first annual conference!

For the 2015 ACT-CIN! Social Justice Conference, we are focusing on the theme Movement; exploring the realm of dance, movement, and nonverbal communication as/towards social justice work.

Spotlight presentation by NAKA Dance Theater, The Anastasio Project.

**The Anastasio Project is a multimedia dance/theater performance which focuses on race relations, state brutality and border violence**

We invite panel discussions, teaching activities (GIFTs), performances, workshops, and presentations from colleagues in Education, Social Justice Activism, Dance, Theater, Communication & Performance Studies, and other relevant disciplines.

We are particularly interested in work that

*uses movement as/towards social activism in the community.
